I actually have lyrics prepared for this - currently longest - song (but for now it's just an instrumental)! I finally stopped neglecting the beat and made 6 variants for it, changing according to the mood of the song. There are approximately 5 distinct parts that I tried my best to blend together. I am most proud of the moody 1:30 section and the ending. This time I chose an electric guitar as the lead instument.
Started out as a boring song, but ended up being great, my family really likes it :)
I have a recorded clip of zooming onto a thermostat while saying "t-t-t-t-terrormostaaat!" that I always laugh at when I rewatch it. That is the basis of the melody, and while I've been considering naming the song the same, I chose a more basic title. (But if I ever add vocals... that's getting in!) The beginning is... fine, but I especially love the transition around the halfway mark. Feels nice when you randomly change a couple settings and it turns out much better than if you were actually doing it intentionally.
I looked for some more realistic instrument plugins online and found
bigcat Instruments Sonatina Orchestra plugin!
Okay, it's not the best one, but the default piano from it sounds much better than the built in samples in LMMS. And that is the only instrument that appears in this song. The melody is lovely, albeit some minor adjustments could be done.
magnetdysk - forget the ocarina
A very dreamy track.
I was not that happy with this piece at first, as the project felt super messy for my standards. This is my first song with over 30 tracks, meanwhile the previous ones used 7 tops. I also experimented a lot with more instruments, and it has a lot more rougher electronic / rave vibe. After listening to it each day for 3 days, I however found beauty in the chaos. (Please note that the volume is much louder than the other songs here. I will try to set all of them to a similar sound level when I'll complete the first album.)
My second song is naturally much more polished. Making music continues to bring me a lot of joy. The title is inspired by ZeWei's Laghari Portals episode about the Bābbé̬p language and culture. This song includes a cymbal sample from Halley Labs.
I have been inspired by the great indie music scene, and so I decided to make my own music too! I'm not yet super experienced, and I may never release another song, but for now, enjoy this little piece.
